Champagne Meunier n 7 The Meetings of Billecart-Salmon

Champagne Meunier n 7 Les Rendez-vous de Billecart-Salmon
Champagne Meunier n 7 Les Rendez-vous de Billecart-Salmon is a single varietal cuvée that interprets Pinot Meunier with refined style, balance, and great precision. Signed by Billecart-Salmon, it is born from a rigorous selection designed to enhance the purity of the fruit and the expressive finesse of a distinctive terroir in the Marne Valley. The result is a generous yet measured champagne, capable of uniting maturity, freshness, and a pleasant taste tension.
Territory and wine style
This Champagne comes from the village of Venteuil, on the right bank of the Marne, with grapes also sourced from the historic vineyards of Leuvrigny and Festigny. The combination of sunny exposure and predominantly clay soils contributes to giving the Pinot Meunier a greater aromatic fullness and a well-perceived natural maturity. The base vintage 2018 and the long aging on the lees, lasting 63 months, impart complexity, harmony, and a fine texture, while the reduced dosage maintains a clear and gastronomic profile.
Tasting notes
In appearance, it presents a bright straw-yellow color, interspersed with delicate silver reflections and a very fine perlage. The bouquet is elegant and multifaceted, with floral notes of linden and fragrant hay, citrus nuances, and hints of white-fleshed fruit and stone fruit, leading to a more indulgent hint of fruitcake. On the palate, it is generous, broad, and enveloping, with sensations of syrupy cherry, fresh pear, and pomegranate, supported by vibrant freshness and a salty, slightly acidic finish. The structure is balanced, the sip flows elegantly, and the finish remains clean and persistent.
Recommended pairings
The style of Champagne Meunier n 7 Les Rendez-vous de Billecart-Salmon makes it ideal with delicate seafood dishes, such as clam risotto, shellfish, mollusks, and white fish. Thanks to its balanced profile, it can successfully accompany elegant aperitifs and more refined tasting moments.
