Champagne Vintage Rosé 2012 Veuve Clicquot with case
Champagne Vintage Rosé 2012 by Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin is a vintage rosé with an authoritative profile, designed for those seeking a Champagne rich in personality, structure, and finesse. The Maison’s interpretation combines the energy of Pinot Noir with the complexity conferred by wines aged in large oak barrels, giving rise to a label of strong identity, elegant even in its presentation with a case.
Territory and wine style
This rosé Champagne comes from the 2012 vintage, declared of great value for the Maison, despite a challenging climate and a limited harvest. The cuvée reflects the distinctive style of Veuve Clicquot, based on structure, aromatic intensity, and evolutionary capacity. The blend also includes 13% of still red wine obtained exclusively from Pinot Noir from Bouzy, an element that contributes to depth, color, and character. The result is a gastronomic rosé Champagne, refined yet assertive.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it presents an elegant and luminous rosé color. On the nose, it expresses hints of red fruits, strawberries, and Morello cherries, accompanied by spicy nuances and a peppery touch that amplifies its complexity. On the palate, the sip is powerful and voluminous, with a clean attack and good tension. The tannic structure is present but silky, while the aromatic component evolves towards sensations of saffron and fine spices. The finish is persistent, harmonious, and consistent with a rich and structured style.
Recommended pairings
Champagne Vintage Rosé 2012 pairs effectively with shellfish, tuna tartare, smoked salmon, and fish dishes with a strong flavor. Its structure also makes it suitable for roasted white meats, guinea fowl, duck, mushrooms, and mildly spicy Asian dishes. It is also interesting with semi-hard cheeses or a refined aperitif when one desires a Champagne capable of accompanying food without losing momentum and precision.
Serving temperature
Serve Champagne Vintage Rosé 2012 between 8 and 10 °C, to enhance both its freshness and aromatic complexity. If possible, allow the wine to breathe for a few minutes in the glass before tasting, to encourage the opening of the aromas and the full expression of the spicy and fruity notes.
