Champagne Cuvée n° 746 Extra Brut Jacquesson

Champagne Cuvée n°746 Extra Brut Jacquesson, elegance and precision
The Champagne Cuvée n°746 Extra Brut Jacquesson represents a recognizable and refined style, built on the philosophy of the independent Maison Jacquesson. It is an AOC Extra Brut Champagne made from a base vintage of 2018 and completed with reserve wines, aiming to offer balance, depth, and expressive continuity. The result is an Italian Champagne? No, a great French Champagne designed for those seeking finesse, tasting tension, and an authentic reading of the territory.
Territory and wine style
The cuvée originates in Champagne and combines Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, three central grape varieties that define the personality of the denomination. The Extra Brut setting enhances the purity of the fruit and the mineral component, with a very low sugar residue that makes the sip clean and precise. The long aging on the lees contributes to aromatic complexity and a broader texture, without sacrificing the tension typical of the best blended cuvées.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it presents a bright straw-yellow color and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers a fresh and complex profile, where citrus fruits, white-fleshed fruits, dried flowers, hazelnut, and delicate hints of bread crust emerge. On the palate, it is tense, vertical, and very clean, with vibrant freshness, good structure, and a pronounced savory imprint. The finish is long, essential, and coherent, with a sensation of great precision and remarkable drinkability.
Recommended pairings
The Champagne Cuvée n°746 Extra Brut Jacquesson pairs naturally with oysters, shellfish, sushi, sashimi, and tuna or salmon tartare. Its freshness and agile structure also make it ideal with fresh and goat cheeses, raw seafood, refined appetizers, and contemporary dishes where the balance between savoriness and delicacy matters.
Serving temperature
The ideal temperature to serve the Champagne Cuvée n°746 Extra Brut Jacquesson is between 8 and 10 °C. Within this range, it best expresses aromatic finesse, tasting tension, and persistence. It generally does not require decanting but can benefit from a few minutes in the glass to open up with greater harmony.
